Celebrating Thanksgiving with His Majesty by Johnson Brother Our family enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful Thanksgiving this past week. We opted to stay at home so we could be well rested and ready for all of our Christmas Teas which are coming up in the next two weeks. Like many of you, we had the usual Thanksgiving fare, the roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cornbread stuffing, cranberry sauce...yummm...but what made our Thanksgiving extra special this year was using our newly acquired vintage dishes, "His Majesty." I was tickled pink this past January when I found this lovely set for 8, and although I had to wait nearly 11 months to use them....it was worth the wait!!

Happy Thanksgiving! "Over the river and through the wood Trot fast, my dapple-gray! Spring over the groud Like a hunting hound For this is Thanksgiving Day." Lydia Maria Child - 1844 What a happy holiday Thanksgiving is! Family and friends gather around the groaning dining room table for turkey and "all the trimmings" ...tart cranberry sauce, heavenly clouds of creamy mashed potatoes topped with a hunk of melting butter, sweet potatoes bathed in brown sugar and a marshmallow topping, fresh vegetables, a variety of heirloom pies, warm cider and hot tea, Yumm! Enjoy the bounty of blessings with family and friends this year! Happy Thanksgiving from your friends here at Miss Spenser's Special-Tea ~An English Tea Room~
